On July 28, 2026, the inaugural Council Meeting of the International Technology Innovation Service Alliance for New Energy and Intelligent Vehicles, alongside the Seminar on International Innovation Services, Exchange, and Cooperation, convened in Xiamen, marking the official inauguration of the Alliance. Council delegates elected Tian Shiyu, Deputy General Manager of the National New Energy Vehicle Technology Innovation Center (NEVC), as Chairman of the First Council. Professor Ching Chuen Chan—Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), hailed asAsia’s "Father of Electric Vehicles," and Founder and Rotating Chairman of the World Electric Vehicle Association—was appointed Honorary Chairman. Beijing Victwo Outbound Investment Consulting Co., Ltd. joined the Council as an inaugural member, with Mr. Edward Yang delivering an invited address titled "Going Global Together: Paving the Way for Global Expansion."
Recommended and guided by the China Center for International Science and Technology Exchange, the Alliance operates as a non-governmental international platform spearheaded by NEVC. Its founding cohort comprises over 20 premier institutions—including NEVC, the Network for International Cooperation on Technology Commercialization (NICTC), Research Institute of Fudan University in Ningbo, HKUST Shenzhen Research Institute, and the School of Automotive Engineering at Beijing Polytechnic University. Bringing together global OEMs, supply chain partners, higher education institutions, and trade associations, the Alliance aims to forge a thriving ecosystem for international innovation services. Moving forward, it will deepen global collaboration across technology R&D, tech transfer, commercialization, achievement matchmaking, professional training, talent acquisition, financial & capital services, brand building, and the cultivation of new quality productive forces—driving continuous innovation and international partnerships across the new energy and intelligent vehicle sector.
Approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology and founded under the stewardship of the Beijing Municipal Government, the National New Energy Vehicle Technology Innovation Center (NEVC) stands as China’s first national-level innovation center for the automotive industry, as well as the country’s second national technology innovation center overall.
