The "Russian Business Opportunities" seminar, jointly organized by Victwo and the Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun Haidian Science Park, was held at ZPARK Plaza Hotel on October 22, 2015. The event attracted over 20 Russian participants, including representatives from the General Office of A Just Russia Party, regional governments, and enterprises, alongside more than 50 Chinese corporate delegates.
Ms. Wang Chongwu, a senior official from the Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun Haidian Science Park, and Mr. Alexey Chepa, Deputy Chairman of A Just Russia Party faction in the State Duma, delivered opening remarks. Mr. Sidor from the Russian Trade Mission in China presented on “The Role of Embassy Commercial Section in Sino-Russian Cooperation”, while Mr. Liu Hongyan of Beijing Russian Law Firm addressed “Investment Models and Risk Mitigation for Chinese Enterprises in Russia”. Drawing on years of practical experience in Sino-Russian collaboration, he provided actionable insights on market entry strategies, risk avoidance, and operational nuances for Russian investments or bilateral trade. Professor Yang Xuewei, a Russian affairs expert from Tsinghua University TusPark Research Institute for Innovation, further shared academic perspectives gleaned from decades of specialized research.
Subsequently, representatives from Chinese enterprises such as Beijing Zhongliantie, Beijing Tongwei Ximen Technology, and Beijing Milestone, alongside Russian corporate and institutional delegates, delivered presentations introducing their respective companies, products, and partnership proposals.
Spanning over four hours, the seminar maintained vigorous engagement even post-event, as market-interested Chinese enterprises conducted face-to-face consultations with Russian representatives, laying substantial groundwork for future collaborative ventures.
