China has risen as a pivotal source of innovative technologies and foreign direct investment globally. On the other hand, China's ever-growing innovative companies are also vigorously seeking opportunities to push into international markets.
To facilitate Chinese technology companies within the construction sector to gain insights into the prevailing landscape of Malaysia's construction industry and seize the burgeoning business opportunities in the Malaysian market, Virtual Symposium on Business Opportunities in Malaysia's Construction Industry kicked off successfully in Xiamen on August 8, 2023. This symposium was organized collaboratively by Xiamen Victwo BizTech Co., Ltd. (Xiamen BRICS+ Technology Accelerator) and Conwall Construction Industries SDN. BHD., a firm boasting three decades of rich experience within the construction domain and aspiring to be the top EPC contractor in Malaysia. During the symposium, Conwall introduced participating Chinese construction technology companies to the potential business opportunities in Malaysia's construction industry, and discussed the possibility of harnessing the service platform co-established by Conwall and Victwo to facilitate a secure and efficient entry for Chinese construction technology companies into Malaysia's construction market.
Several participating companies made noteworthy presentations during the symposium. Hiteknova (Xiamen) Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Weitan Technology Co., Ltd., and Guangdong Shenling Thermal Storage Technology Co., Ltd. introduced their key technological products and service solutions in fields such as digitalized prefabricated construction, waste management, and environmental regulation. Victwo shared its perspectives on "going global in groups and engaging in multinational operations", urging Chinese construction technology companies to forge collaborations and invest collectively in expanding into the vast global markets.
Following the presentations, productive discussions ensued between Chinese and Malaysian representatives regarding investment strategies for pushing into Malaysia's construction market. Further explorations of concrete strategies are anticipated in the near future, aimed at assisting the participating Chinese construction technology companies in entering the markets of Malaysia and the ASEAN region.
